PURPOSE: An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader collision preventing method based on pulse protocol using slot occupied probability is provided to prevent the collision of RFID readers by using the slot occupied probability, thereby improving the amount of data processing, system performance and tag recognizing time. CONSTITUTION: A reader generates random backoff time about a data channel among channels(S320). The reader monitors the data channel during the generated random backoff time. The reader checks whether a time slot which the reader is used in a data channel is occupied by the other reader or not with the occupancy probability of the time slot. If the time slot is occupied by the other reader, the reader generates new random backoff time and prevents collision with the other reader(S410).
