FIELD COIL ASSEMBLY OF AN ELECTROMAGNETIC CLUTCH FOR A COMPRESSOR EQUIPPED WITH COIL GENERATING THE ATTRACTING MAGNETIC FLUX

PURPOSE: Field coil assembly of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor is provided to reduce the power consumption of field coil assembly by connecting a resistor and a bimetal in the field coil assembly in parallel.;CONSTITUTION: Field coil assembly(30) of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor comprises a core(31) and coils(35). The core is accepted in a pulley and is formed in a ring shape. The coils are accepted in the core and generate the magnetic force by the application of the external power supply. A variable resistor(K) is connected to one side of the wire extended from the coil. The variable resistor generates the electromagnetic force by the coil at the initial operating time of the field coil assembly to the maximum and if a given time passes, the power consumption of the field coil assembly is reduced.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
