PURPOSE: A catheter having an optical functional auto-sterilization property and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, which make auto-sterilization possible and prevent bid film formation by bacteria.;CONSTITUTION: A catheter includes: a tubular body; and a light sensitive agent which is spread on the inner circumference surface of the tubular body. The main body consists of silicon, latex and mixture thereof. The light sensitive agent is selected from the group including the porphyrin(H2TTP), phthalocyanine, dye, porphyrin substituent, and phthalocyanine substituent. A method of manufacturing the auto-sterilizing catheter having an optical functional property includes: a first step of manufacturing light sensitive agent solution by dissolving the light sensitive agent into solvent; and a second step of spreading the light sensitive agent solution on the inner sidewall of the catheter body.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
