A METHOD TO MAINTAIN SOFTWARE RAID CONSISTENCY USING JOURNALING FILE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for maintaining software raid consistency by using a journaling file system is provided to maximally ensure the performance of the software RAID by recording the data existing in a RAID cache on a disk at a proper timing. CONSTITUTION: JTDB(Journal Transaction Description Block) is created in a memory buffer(S111). A data block is registered to a transaction region of the memory buffer, and a home location is updated in the JTDB(S121). A metadata block is registered to the transaction region, and the home location is updated to the JTDB(S131). The transaction region is recorded in the journal region of a disk(S141), and the JTDB is recorded on the disk(S151). The data of a RFID(Redundant Array of Independent Disk) cache is moved to the disk through a RAID cached flush signal(S171).
