PURPOSE: A device and a method for sensing surface condensation using hydrophilic and water repellent properties are provided to maximize a visual effect by spreading hydrophilic and water repellent materials on a surface.;CONSTITUTION: A device for sensing surface condensation using hydrophilic and water repellent properties comprises first patterns(410,430), second patterns(420,440), an optical sensor, and a condensation determining unit. The first patterns are formed by spreading a hydrophilic material on a transparent film. The second patterns are formed by spreading a water repellent material on the transparent film. The transparent film is attached on the surface of an object. The optical sensor senses the amount of light passing through the first and second patterns. The condensation determining unit determines whether a difference between light passing through the first and second patterns is more than a critical value or not.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
