PURPOSE: A fingerprint sensing device is provided to improve the robustness of a fingerprint sensing module and maintain the smooth appearance of a touch-sensitive mobile device by arranging a fingerprint sensing module in the lower part of the base of a display.;CONSTITUTION: A fingerprint sensing module for a touch screen device is provided. A sensor(102) includes at least one linear sensor array which is attached to a substrate. The sensor captures a part of a fingerprint image as a finger moves along the sensor. A motion sensor(104) detects the movement of a finger as the finger moves above a touch screen device. An image processor(105) processes at least two captured parts of the fingerprint image.
