PURPOSE: A method for calculating a reliability index, an electronic device, and a recording medium are provided to estimate the influence of a power system by calculating the reliability index of the power system based on a solar probability distribution and an output property. CONSTITUTION: Sunlight information of a specific area is inputted(S210). A sunlight probability distribution about the intensity of sunlight is calculated based on the sunlight information(S220). The output property of the solar power generator included in the power system is calculated(S230). The reliability index of the power system including the solar power generator is calculated based on the output property of the solar power generator and the sunlight probability distribution. An available capacity probability distribution is calculated by combining the sunlight probability distribution with the output property of the solar power generator(S240). An accident probability distribution is calculated from the available capacity probability distribution(S250). A valid load duration curve of the solar power generator is calculated by using the accident capacity probability distribution(S260). At least one of an LOLE(Loss of Load Expectation), an EENS(Expected Energy Not Served), and an EIR(Energy Index of Reliability) is calculated by using the valid load duration curve(S270).
