PURPOSE: A method for operating exchange transportation card having a check card function and a recording medium for the same are provided to give a check card function into an exchange traffic card, thereby a user can posses the transportation card and the check card all together without possessing a separate card.;CONSTITUTION: An account opening unit opens a payment account based on passport information of a foreigner. A card issuing unit exchanges foreign currency which a foreigner provides into Korean Won unit according to exchange rate. The card issuing unit deposits the exchange foreign currency to a providing payment account. An information storage unit(2335) stores information about deposit cost, information about date and time for scheduled departure of foreigner and information about discount when paying the cost by a card by relating the three information. A calculation processing unit(2340) calculates discounted calculation money. The calculation processing means deposits the discounted calculation money.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
