PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Abeliophyllum Distichum extract is provided to suppress aging and to proliferate skin cells. CONSTITUTION: An Abeliophyllum Distichum extract for antioxidation and histamine suppression is obtained by extracting stem or root of Abeliophyllum Distichum using water or organic solvent. The Abeliophyllum Distichum extract also obtained by extracting Abeliophyllum Distichum with organic solvent and fractioning with hexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, or butanol. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, hexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, propylene glycol, butylenes glycol, or glycerin.
