PURPOSE: A knee bolster structure of a magnesium cowl bar is provided to prevent a top fastening part, a shock absorbing part and a bottom fastening part from becoming corroded since they are formed from aluminum material.;CONSTITUTION: A knee bolster structure of a magnesium cowl bar comprises a top fastening part(110), a shock absorbing part(130) and a bottom fastening part(150). The top fastening part is fixed to the top of a magnesium cowl bar(CCM). The shock absorbing part is composed of a downward slope(131) and an upward slope(133). The downward slope is integrally formed on the end of the top fastening part to slope downwardly. The upward slope is integrally formed on the lower end of the downward slope to slope upwardly. The shock absorbing part reduces the shock to the knee of a passenger in collision. The bottom fastening part is extended to the end of the upward slope in a horizontal direction and is fixed to the lower part of the magnesium cowl bar. The top fastening part, the shock absorbing part and the bottom fastening part are formed from aluminum through a compression molding process. The top fastening part, the shock absorbing part and the bottom fastening part comprise cavities(111,139,139a,139b,139c,139d,139e,139f,151) which are opened in a transverse direction.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
