PURPOSE: A safety device for a press is provided to prevent the injury of a worker by immediately stopping the rotation of a crank and the down motion of a lift when sensing the worker.;CONSTITUTION: A safety device for a press comprises a sensor(150), a cylinder(160), and a power cut-off unit(170). When the sensor senses the presence of a worker, the cylinder is operated under the control of a controller. The power cut-off unit separates a power transmission gear(120) and a crank shaft(130) to cut off the power of a motor(110). The power cut-off unit comprises a ring member(171) which moves along the outer circumference of the crank shaft, a mounting member which is coupled to a mounting groove and attached to/separated from a shaft groove of the power transmission gear, and a link(173) which is coupled to a groove(171b) of the ring member and connect the ring member and the cylinder rod.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
