PURPOSE: A maintenance and mending system for a counter, and a maintenance and mending method for the counter are provided to check and repair a failure when an abnormal state happens in the counter by connecting a counter to a server when there is an abnormal state in the counter.;CONSTITUTION: A server(400) collects and stores the state information of counters, and maintains and repairs the counters according to the state information of the counters. The server keeps the programs of up-to-date version necessary for operating the counters, and checks the program version of the counters. The server maintains the programs of the counters in the up-to-date version.
