PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing books by a mobile terminal are provided to request a service to a library through an SMS message to check a service result, thereby using a library service without respect to time and a place.;CONSTITUTION: At least one mobile terminal transmits a request SMS(Short Message Service) message to a library system(400). The mobile terminal outputs a result SMS message for the request SMS message. A receiving number of the request SMS message is set as a specific number according to selection of a library user. The specific number is allocated to the library system according to an MO(Mobile Origination) service. The library system transmits an SMS message of a service result to a corresponding mobile terminal according to an MT(Mobile Termination) service.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
