PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for QoS-aware channel sensing scheduling in a cognitive radio system are provided to avoid the rapid lowering of QoS(Quality of Service) when sensing many channels at one sensing section by distributing the channels allocated to main users. CONSTITUTION: A channel dispersing unit(110) disperse sensing target channels to a sensing cycle of a current channel in a CR(Cognitive Radio) system, and a section calculator(120) calculates the minimum service section and the maximum sensing section which are required for securing the quality of service. Based on the maximum and minimum sensing sections, a sensing capacity confirmation unit(130) judges the sensing capability of the dispersed channel. According to the sensing capability, a section adjustment unit(140) generates a sensing section and a service section.
