PURPOSE: A method for generating transverse elastic wave, which accurately diagnoses and checks the inside of a viscoelastic medium, and a device and method taking images using transverse elastic wave are provided to increase definition of an elastic deformation image by conveniently increasing the viscoelastic medium to the optimal level.;CONSTITUTION: A method for generating transverse elastic wave is as follows. An ultrasonic signal is focused on the focal point of M on viscoelastic medium. The ultrasonic signal from different ultrasonic signal emitting source is focused on the focal point of M. The ultrasonic signal emitting member(111) has multiple ultrasonic signal emitting sources. The concentration point of time of ultrasonic signal each focused the focus of M is similar.
