PURPOSE: A system for generating 3D forest geographical information using aerial Lidar data and digital aerial photo data and a method thereof are provided to generate accurate and detailed 3D forest geographical information by carefully analyzing individual trees in a forest using both vertical and horizontal directions based on aerial Lidar data and digital aerial photo data. CONSTITUTION: A pre-processor(100) extracts a digital elevation model from aerial Lidar data. A forest area extracting unit(200) generates forest area information. An individual tree extracting unit(300) generates various information of individual trees. A forest geographical information generating unit(400) generates forest geographical information data.
