METHOD AND KIT FOR PROBING METHICILLIN RESISTANT STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS(MRSA) USING ANTIBODY WHICH IS SPECIFIC TO PENICILLIN-BINDING PROTEIN(PBP2A) AND PROTEIN A

PURPOSE: A method and kit for probing methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) using an antibody are provided to quickly and accurately probe the methicillin resistant Staphylococcus having PBP2a and protein A.;CONSTITUTION: A monoclonal antibody which is specific to methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) has an activity of specifically binding to a polypeptide containing penicillin-binding protein(PBP2a) fragment having amino acid sequence of the sequence number 1. A specific antibody to the protein A is polyclonal antibody obtained by immunization of the protein A to a chicken. The presence of antigen-antibody complex can be confirmed through radioimmunoassay, ELISA, sandwich immunoassay or lateral flow immunographic assay. A kit for detecting methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus contains the monoclonal antibody and the specific antibody to the protein A.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
