Method for designing Primitive Instruction for Video codec based on HW/SW Co-design

摘要

A primitive instruction design method is provided to obtain superior performance improvement in comparison to existing software by dividing hardware and software. An operation tree graph for a function structure of a video codec is prepared(S2). A detail node of the operation tree graph is completed through profiling(S4). A target node which defines a primitive instruction is determined by using the completed operation tree graph(S6). The primitive instruction is defined within the determined target node(S8). If the defined primitive instruction satisfies a target value of a preset hardware/software integration design, the primitive instruction is confirmed as a primitive instruction set(S10,S12).
