Method of hand-off in wireless lan networking

PURPOSE: A handoff method in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) is provided to support the efficient mobility of a mobile node by using a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) and an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) when the mobile node enters in an area of another AP(Access Point). CONSTITUTION: An SIP server, which exists in the route of a network, manages position information of a mobile node(4). The mobile node(4) moves between sub-nets using position information by a hard hand-off method. The mobile node(4) moves in the sub-net using a mobile IP by a soft hand-off method. Position information of the mobile node(4) of a router in the sub-net is registered in the SIP server. If the mobile node(4) moves to an external different sub-net, position information of the mobile node(4) is updated through a router in the changed sub-net.
