PURPOSE: A haptic module using an electrorheological fluid, a control method thereof and a haptic providing device with the haptic module are provided to convert hardness and softness of the entire electrorheological fluid by a non-compressive property of the electrorheological fluid, thereby minimizing power consumption of a portable device. CONSTITUTION: An electrorheological fluid is contained in a case(110). At least one side of the case is flexibly formed for a tactile feeling. An electric field applying unit(130) applies an electric field to the electrorheological fluid. A flow hole(125) discharges the electrorheological fluid to the outside of the case. A receiving unit receives the discharged electrorheological fluid.
