PURPOSE: An automatic restoration method for an embedded system including an automatic restoration function of OS and an operating system is provided to automatically restore the damaged OS image for booting without the intervention of a user. CONSTITUTION: A first storing medium(220) stores the OS image for booting as image type. A second medium unit(230) stores OS image stores OS image for recovery for performing recovery function of OS. A central processing unit(240) selects the medium for booting according to the booting priority. A monitoring control unit(210) changes the booting priority when the signal for confirming the normal booting from the central processing unit is not received within the predetermined after booting start. A monitoring control unit performs the control operation to be rebooted with the image for recovery.
