A vehicle collision preventing method and a system suitable for the same method are provided, which can analyze collision possibility of the vehicle by tracing the moving condition of the vehicles. The measurement scanner(310) is installed at the predetermined height and produces the scan information of the vehicles or stack. The automatic vehicle location(320) produces the trace information of the vehicles or stack based on the scan information and the yard map information inputted from the laser measurement scanner. The collision possibility analyzer(330) analyzes impact possibility of crane and vehicle based on the trace information about the vehicles or stack inputted from the automatic vehicle location and crane motion information.
