A system and a method for measuring convective heat transfer coefficient are provided to secure annealing quality by accurately predicting real-time history about heating and cooling of a coil as a heating object within an annealing furnace, thereby optimally controlling heating and cooling of the coil. A system for measuring convective heat transfer coefficient comprises a heating furnace(10), a coil mimetic(20), temperature sensors(30-35), and a controller(40). The heating furnace is heated to a high temperature. The coil mimetic is formed in a coil shape and filled with water, and has an outlet(21) formed therein to exhaust steam. The coil mimetic is laid down within the heating furnace. The temperature sensors measures temperatures of an inner part of the heating furnace, and a top face, an inner face, an outer face, and a bottom face of the coil mimetic. The controller is electrically connected to the temperature sensors. The controller computes output signals of the temperature sensors to compute convective heat transfer coefficients of respective parts of the coil mimetic.
