A DETECTING METHOD AND A TRAINING METHOD OF EVENT FOR SOCCER VIDEO

PURPOSE: A method of learning and detecting an event in a soccer moving picture is provided to make a scene where the event arises learned properly to the real circumstances of a national broadcast and automatically detected, by applying a hidden Markov model to soccer moving picture multimedia. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether an event pattern of a soccer moving picture has to be learned or not(S210). Each of scenes is changed into a symbol when the event pattern is learned(S220). An observation sequence is determined from the changed symbol(S230). An event generation pattern is learned by a hidden Markov model based on the determined observation sequence(S240).
