An electronic document safekeeping system(100) deals an electronic filing document and a certificate for the document. A user terminal(110) is connected with a user who requests the registration of an electronic filing document. A requester terminal(115) is connected with a person who requests a certificate. An electronic document storage server(130) generates and transmits a certificate response message including a certificate request message and a certificate based on a searched traces.
