APPARATUS FOR OPENING SUBMERGED ENTRY NOZZLE OF TUNDISH IN CONTINUOUS CASTING PROCESS

PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening a submerged entry nozzle of a tundish in continuous casting process is provided which protects workers and improves operation efficiency by performing forcible opening operation automatically, promptly and safely when molten steel is not naturally injected from tundish to mold as molten steel is hardened at an upper nozzle part of slide nozzle cassette of tundish during tundish close start operation. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a lower part opening oxygen pipe(90) comprising an oxygen pipe guide ring(90-4) for accurately inserting an oxygen pipe into an injection port position of submerged entry nozzle during tundish close start operation at continuous casting machine, wherein the lower part opening oxygen pipe performs first ignition operation and second ignition operation at a lower part of tundish; a car(80) comprising a means on which the oxygen pipe is movably mounted so that the oxygen pipe is operated to a target position; a valve stand for controlling supply of oxygen into the oxygen pipe; and an operating panel for controlling operation of the apparatus.
