PURPOSE: A system for monitoring a leachate leak for a landfill using an optical fiber sensor is provided to remarkably reduce costs, labor, and time by using a cable connected to multiple sensors.;CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring a leachate leak for a landfill using an optical fiber sensor comprises a hollow tube(10), an optical fiber cable(30), FBG temperature sensors(20), a measuring device, and an FBG array. The hollow tube is installed in the bottom of a landfill membrane. The optical fiber cable is formed inside the hollow tube. The FBG temperature sensors are connected to the optical fiber cable. The measuring device is connected to optical fiber cable and detects a temperature change of the FBG temperature sensors. The FBG array is buried in a landfill or a bank.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
