PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Rhodiola extract for preventing and treating viral diseases is provided to ensure high suppression activity to neuraminidase and use in treating influenza virus infection or disinfecting. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating viral diseases contains Rhodiola extract as an active ingredient. The Rhodiola extract is obtained by extracting with water, alcohol of C1-C3, or their mixture solvent. The Rhodiola fraction is obtained by suspending the Rhodiola extract with water and fractioning with hexane, chloroform, and ethylacetate.
