PURPOSE: A marker for screening brown plant hopper-resistance rice plant is provided to simply and stably select individual or species having brown plant hopper resistance. CONSTITUTION: A marker for screening brown plant hopper-resistance rice plant comprises a primer set containing an oligonucleotide of 15 or more serial nucleotides in sequence number 1 and an oligonucleotide of 15 or more serial nucleotides in sequence number 2. A method for screening rice plant species having brown plant hopper resistance comprises: a step of isolating genome DNA from rice plant sample; a step of amplifying target sequence using primer set of sequence numbers 1 and 2; and a step of detecting PCR product.
