PURPOSE: An NSR catalyst for a nitric oxide storage and reduction is provided to improve the nitric oxide storage and reduction by adding cobalt and rhodium to a Pt/BaO/Al_2O_3 catalyst. CONSTITUTION: An NSR catalyst for a nitric oxide storage and reduction contains 0.01~3% of platinum(Pt), 0.01~1% of rhodium(Rh), 0.1~9% of cobalt(Co), and 1~30% of barium oxide(BaO). The NSR catalyst uses gamma-alumina(-Al_2O_3) as a supporter to improve a storage and a reduction condition of the nitric oxide.
