METHOD FOR TARGET BASE STATION CHANNEL DECISION USING GROUP SCANNING

PURPOSE: A method for determining a target base station channel using group scanning is provided to share respective scan results of group users, thereby discovering a target base station channel within short time. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether it is necessary to search a channel of a terminal by determining signal intensity of the first receiving signal from a serving base station(S110). These are determined whether a participating group exists and whether the participating group attends based on an advertisement message from the serving base station, signal intensity of the first receiving signal, and signal intensity of the second receiving signal from a neighboring group user(S120). When the participating group can attend, a target candidate channel is scanned by attending the participating group(S130). When the participating group can not attend, an independent group is configured to scan a target candidate channel(S140).
