PURPOSE: A synchronization control method and synchronization control device of a forward link transmission power during a soft handoff in a wireless communication system are provided to sample parameters of a receiving quality in every frame in a reverse link, and to improve a real-time performance of synchronization, while realizing power synchronization of all BTSs, thereby improving system operational efficiency. CONSTITUTION: All BTSs collect the receiving quality of a current reverse link and the current transmission power of a forward link, and transmit the collected qualities and the powers to a BSC(201). The BSC selects an optimal BTS, stores a transmission power reported by the optimal BTS, marks the BTS having a strong reverse link, and marks other BTS having a weak reverse link(202). The BSC transmits the transmission power and the number of BTSs having soft handoff to all the BTSs(203). Whether a value obtained by subtracting the transmission power from the current transmit power is bigger than a threshold value is determined(204). If not, power synchronization is not performed(206). Power control parameters are controlled, based on changes of the number of the BTSs having the soft handoff within a forward traffic data frame from the BSC(207).
