1. A system comprising: network having a first network access point and second access point to the network and configured to transfer data between the first network access point and second access point to the network through the first carrier and the second carrier; and! a first terminal adapted to be connected to the first access point to the network and a second terminal adapted to be connected to the second access point to the network, wherein each terminal is adapted to simultaneously support the first type of connection and connection of the second type with another terminal via the network as a single logical connection mechanism; and wherein ! compound of the first type is set at the beginning of communication, and subsequently the compound of the second type is established between terminals if the new data type is introduced into the connection. ! 2. The system of claim 1, characterized in that! the first carrier is switched channels and the connection of the first type is a circuit switched connection; and! the second carrier is a packet switched connection and the second type is a packet-switched connection. ! 3. The system of claim 2, wherein the terminals are configured to perform operations to establish simultaneous circuit-switched and packet-switched channels by the steps of: establishing a CS connection; and! transmission by each terminal its packet switching address to the other terminal via the CS connection. ! 4. The system according to claim 3, characterized in that the terminals are arranged to establish a connection to the packet-switched medium
