METHOD FOR ACCELERATED DETERMINATION OF DIGITAL TRANSMISSION CHANNEL (ROUTE) QUALITY

FIELD: physics; communication.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication and specifically to assessment of quality of digital transmission channels (routes), and can be used for rapid determination of the error coefficient on regenerative sections of digital transmission channels. The method is characterised by that, a control test signal attenuated by a calibrated extension is transmitted and received at the receiving side, and using a channel quality evaluating device, probability of occurrence of errors is determined. Using a formula or a table of the relationship between error probability and value of the ratio of the voltage amplitude of the received signal and the effective value of noise voltage, the ratio of values of voltage of the received signal to noise are determined. The obtained value of the ratio of the signal voltage value to the effective noise voltage value is increased in proportion to the value of attenuation of the signal by the calibrated extension and based on the obtained ratio and using a formula or table, the unknown error probability of the analysed section of the digital transmission channel (route) is determined.;EFFECT: simple circuit, reduced number of successively carried out operations and cutting on the time for determining error probability of the digital transmission channel (route).;1 dwg, 1 tbl
