FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: chromium (VI) ions are extracted from acidic aqueous solutions with the protonated form of N',N'-dipentylhydrazide 2-ethylhexanoic acid in form of its salt with sulphuric acid or hydrochloric acid in kerosene. Concentration of sulphuric acid is greater than 3.5 mol/l and concentration of hydrochloric acid is greater than 4 mol/l.
