FIELD: agriculture.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of landscape science. In method they measure lengths of tributaries and areas of river tributaries catchments and tributaries drop by difference of heights between their heads and mouths, distribution of tributaries into distinctive groups by availability of vegetable cover on territories of river catchment and its tributaries basins. Effect from distinctive orographical features of relief and landscape arranged on the territory of tributaries catchment is estimated. Section of floodplain meadow with grass cover is marked visually on map or in nature on measured area and length of small river or its tributary catchment. Then in this section in specific areas they mark at least three hydraulic sections in transverse direction within the limits of water-protection zone. Along each hydraulic section they mark at least three sample sites on each side of small river or its tributary, after marking they measure distances from accepted point of origin on one side of small river or its tributary to centres of sample sites. They measure height of each sample site centre arrangement from the surface of small river or its tributary, and after grass sample has been taken, it is exposed to tests, results of which detect laws of distance effect along each section, heights of sample sites arrangement over water's edge for biophysical and biochemical indices of grass samples, and also they assess effect of distinctive orographical features of coastal relief and natural and anthropogenic objects located within and beyond the territory of water-protection zone.;EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve accuracy of measurements and to increase chances of relief parametres effect and anthropogenic influence detection at crop capacity of meadow grass and soil productivity.;8 cl, 11 dwg
