FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dermatovenereology and can be used for differential diagnostics of ulcerous basal cell carcinoma and ulcerated acanthoma verrucosum. Skin growth is ultrasounded with a polyfunctional linear sensor with frequency 7-12 MHz in B-mode. Before ultrasound exposure, a growth surface is covered with at least 10 mm of a cooled gel. Ultrasound does not involve mechanical compression of the applied gel by the sensor. Echogenicity of the growth structure and invasion depth is evaluated. When observing intradermally distributed hypoechogenic structure, ulcerous basal cell carcinoma is diagnosed. When detecting increased echogenicity of the growth without intradermal distribution, ulcerated acanthoma verrucosum is diagnosed.;EFFECT: technique allows improving accuracy of differential diagnostics of ulcerous basal cell carcinoma and ulcerated acanthoma verrucosum due to evaluation of invasion and echogenicity nature of the growth.;2 ex
