FIELD: physics, radio.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely: for multi-mode space polirimetric synthetic aperture radar antennae and can be used in multi-mode space polirimetric synthetic aperture radar antennae (SRA). Electronic scanning in the hybrid mirror scanning antenna (HMSA) takes place through a switching technique with amplitude and phase variation. Mechanical rotation of the turning reflector enables to reduce the size of the active phased antenna array, weight of the HMSA and, combined with electronic scanning, makes it possible to change the beam shape on the azimuth and tilt scanning, which is achieved by varying the amplitude-phase distribution on the line of the active phased antenna array - radiator. The beam shape on tilt scanning can also be changed through electronic scanning.;EFFECT: more accurate scanning with provision for wide viewing field without considerable increase in dimensions of the active phased antenna array.;5 dwg
