FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining polystyrene nanoparticles using a supercritical anti-solvent involves preparation of a solution, heating, compression, passing through a nozzle, mixing with a supercritical anti-solvent, precipitation of polystyrene particles and their collection. The method is characterised by using CO2 as the supercritical anti-solvent. Polystyrene particles are collected in a liquid trap in form of water. The process of mixing with supercritical anti-solvent is carried out at P=(1.1-3)Pcr and temperature T=(1-1.1)Tcr, where Tcr is critical temperature of the anti-solvent used and Pcr is critical pressure of the anti-solvent used.;EFFECT: obtaining polystyrene nanoparticles with simultaneous reduction of power consumption owing to optimum parameters of the method.;1 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 6 ex
