FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: two sets of samples of optical waveguides with protective coating and with statistically homogenous microcracks in terms of depth distribution on the glass surface are formed, where at least one of said sets has samples with the analysed nanosized structures. Parametres of the test medium are recorded and optical waveguides from the set containing samples with the analysed nanosized structures is tested. During the testing process, strengthening factor values η of the optical waveguides and "healing" efficiency parametre values q of microcraks are obtained, as well as the value of modulus of elasticity of "healing" nanosized molecular structures and features of filling inner channels of microcraks with said structures is determined.;EFFECT: improved technology of producing optical waveguides.;2 cl, 14 dwg
