There is provided a fuel nozzle with active cooling. It contains an outer peripheral wall (11) and a nozzle center body (12) which is concentric within the outer wall (11) disposed in a fuel-air pre-mixer (14). The fuel-air premixer (14) contains an air inlet (15), a fuel inlet (16) and a pre-mixing passage (21) between the outer wall (11) and the central body (12) is defined. There is a gas fuel flow passage (23) exists. A first cooling passage (32) is contained in the central body (12), and a second cooling passage (43) is defined between the central body (12) and the outer wall (11).
