The tool i.e. plier (1), has clamping jaws inserted into a front-sided opening of a sleeve-like body and clamped by a clamping device such that a gripping unit (23) formed at the clamping jaws is pressed from an inner side against the sleeve-like body. The gripping unit includes a slip-inhibiting surface property for enabling force-fit connection of the tool to the body during pressing. The gripping unit includes projecting structures or passages (25) pressed in sleeve inner walls. Levers (3, 5) are connected with one another by a joint (7).
