The holder has a stand (7) connected to a pivot arm (6). The pivot arm is connected with pivotable, viewable case (1). Front side (2) of the viewable case is formed from transparent pad. The viewable case is opened in the front side for reading a book and a magazine. A 360-degree pivoting device (5) is provided between the viewable case and the pivot arm. Rollers are arranged at a stand leg (8). A pressing unit is attached to the viewable case for attaching the book and the magazine to the viewable case. A reading lamp (4) is integrated into the holder.
