The support (1) has V-shaped grooves (10) running in a conveyor belt running direction, where the grooves are formed by intermediate spaces. The support is designed as a plate. The grooves extend over entire length of the support. The grooves are uniformly arranged across entire width of the support. Bumps (11) lying between the grooves exhibit a cross-section, which exhibit the shape of a parabola, a truncated parabola or a trapezoid. The support is made of solid material such as steel, stainless steel, plastic and wood. An independent claim is also included for a conveying device comprising a conveyor belt.
