The apparatus (1) for forming a circumferential bead-like outwardly pointing solid projection (13, 27, 28) with a semicircular cross-sectional geometry at one end (6, 25, 26) of a pipe (7, 22, 23) for a waste water installation in an aircraft, having a first and a second shaped part (2, 3), wherein the end portion (11) and the initial section (15) in each case a circumferential recess (12, 20) with a quarter circle cross-sectional geometry which together form a semicircular cross-sectional geometry and the pipe (7, 22, 23) is formed of a plastics material, characterized in that the second moulded part (3) of an electric heating device (4) and along a common longitudinal axis (5) in relation to the first shaped part (2) for forming the projection (13, 27, 28) is adapted to be displaced, wherein the first shaped part (2) a conical end portion (11) which, in a hollow conical initial section (15) of the second molded part (3) at least regionally with for the shaping of the projection (13, 27, 28) can be introduced.
