The arm (1) has a fork shaft (4) for receiving a load and fastened at a lower region of a fork back plate (2). The fork shaft is rotated between an expanded working position and a folded resting position around a rotational axis. The fork shaft is operated by a drive device that is formed as an electromechanical control drive (10) and arranged at a back plate at a side opposite to the fork shaft. The drive is formed as an electro-cylinder (11) that comprises a piston rod, which is operated by a screw drive.
