The component has a LED-chip (1) including an active layer for generating of electromagnetic radiation, where the LED-chip emits primary radiation with a wave length. Conversion layers (2, 3) include conversion elements for converting portions of the primary radiation sent by the LED chip into secondary radiation, respectively. The conversion layers are arranged on portions (4, 5) of the LED-chip. A control layer is arranged on a third portion (6) of the LED-chip, for the electromagnetic radiation. A wavelength of the secondary radiation lies in a red spectral range. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a radiation-emitting component.
