The strip (1) has a suction cup (8) provided at a back side (2) turned towards a surface in a custom position for fixing the strip at an article. Upholstery (10) is provided between the suction cup and a front side of the strip. The suction cup is arranged at a carrier layer (7) running in a longitudinal extending direction of the strip, where the carrier layer has a hardness greater than the upholstery. The carrier layer is arranged between the upholstery and the suction cup. The carrier layer is made of rubber and the upholstery is made of foam material e.g. polyurethane.
