The method involves operating a non-real time simulation program on a computer for the production of simulation control data. The non-real time simulation control data is transferred to a file manager (1). The data is selected from the file manager in real time. A simulation device is controlled with the data selected from the file manager in real time. An independent claim is included for a simulation system consisting of a computer with an operating system, particularly non real time operating system.
