Hydrogel, which is formed by in situ radiation curing of at least one urethane acrylate-precursor, useful for treating wounds, where the precursor is obtained from polyalkylene oxide, diisocyanate and unsaturated alcohol
Hydrogel, which is formed by in situ radiation curing of at least one urethane acrylate precursor, is claimed, where the urethane acrylate-precursor is obtained from at least one polyalkylene oxide having ethylene oxide content of 60-90%, at least one diisocyanate and at least one unsaturated alcohol and the ratio of isocyanate to hydroxyl group is = 1. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing the hydrogel comprising reacting the polyalkylene oxide, diisocyanate and unsaturated alcohol at 20-120[deg] C optionally in the presence of catalyst of isocyanate-hydroxyl reaction and polymerization inhibitor, and UV-hardening the urethaneacrylate-precursor. ACTIVITY : Vulnerary. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
